The photo was the property of my late uncle Paul Davis, who was born and lived in Knoxville, TN. Paul was in the 8th Air Force, 448th Bomber Group, 715th Squadron stationed in Seething, England in WWII. Sometime after his death I asked my aunt Frances Hill Davis for permission to copy his WWII ETO photos and she happily granted my wish. I just recently scanned some of the photos in jpg files. It turned out a few were quite rare. My goal is historical preservation of the photos and to accomplish this I'm trying to widely distribute them.

You do have my permission to post the photo or any other photo I send you on your site. If possible post in "Memory of Paul (8th Air Force, 448th BG, 715th Sq.) and Frances Davis". My aunt is expected to pass away any day now. I have several more unidentified aerial photos that may be from the Rhur Valley, I will attach then to this email. I'm am especially interested in the one that may be a POW camp, but would like confirmation.

I'm also going to forward two email from individuals that have helped me identify some of these photos. One is German, but he has an English version on his web site. The other tells about how "trolley" flights given at the end of the war.

My cousin recenty found another photo album of uncle Pauls. If there are any photos I think you may be interested in I'll send them to you.

And let me thank you for posting the photo on your site.
